Larsen & Toubro (L&T) has announced significant new orders for its Power Transmission & Distribution (PT&D) division, marking a notable achievement both domestically and internationally. In a regulatory filing made on March 3, 2025, the company revealed that it secured multiple high-value contracts in various regions.
Among the new contracts is an order for the implementation of 765kV and 400kV transmission line segments to support a Renewable Energy Zone in Uttar Pradesh, India. This project is pivotal in strengthening the country’s grid infrastructure and enabling the efficient transmission of renewable energy. Additionally, L&T has received a turnkey construction order for a 400kV transmission line in southern India, designed to evacuate power from a non-fossil fuel-based power plant.
Internationally, L&T has secured a 380kV Gas Insulated Substation (GIS) project in Saudi Arabia, which includes the installation of associated reactors and hybrid GIS bays. In Abu Dhabi, the company will set up a new 220/33kV grid station, further expanding its footprint in the Middle East.
